When a room has more than one window, a few doors and slanted walls, it can be tricky to dream up the optimal room layout. But we set this little girl up for success with a functional toddler room that includes an epic wood bookcase, activity table and a cozy reading nook. We repurposed an existing dresser and crib set and brought in a beautiful floral swivel armchair from this family’s basement. The armchair played a huge role in building the room’s colour story; blush pink, peach and yellow tones fill the room to create a colourful yet calming aesthetic.
We sourced a beautiful neutral foliage wallpaper that has a textural brush stroke to it and decided to wrap it around the entire room! We painted the ceiling and crown moulding in Benjamin Moore’s Georgetown Pink Beige to add even more interest to the space, and I’m now officially obsessed with painted ceilings! A fun creamy dot fabric was selected for custom drapery and I love how it layers so effortlessly over the wallpaper. And how incredible is this hand-knotted wool rug? It has the perfect touch of peach to complement the ceiling colour.
It’s the sweet little details that really bring personality to this space, like the shaggy heart wall hanging, swan head and pink floor lamp. This peach paradise toddler room turned out even better than I could have imagined!
