This tiny room packs a lot of punch! From gingham and stripes, to a beautiful icy blue and burgundy colour palette, the room strikes the perfect balance between a playful and sophisticated design.

The primarily blue and grey colour palette is contrasted with just a few hints of burgundy to add a bold pop of contrast. It’s remarkable how just a few elements can add vibrancy and create such an energetic atmosphere! Planning out the perfect room layout was my first priority, so we positioned a twin bed with trundle along the feature wall to ensure there was as much open floor space as possible for both sleepovers and playtime. We placed a small side table underneath the wall-to-wall window, brought in a warm grey dresser to optimize clothing storage and a bean bag with book ledges for story time. The layout caters to the whims of a growing boy, proving that even the smallest rooms can be super cute and functional!

I adore the subtle blue striped wallpaper and how it contrasts with the busier patterned wool rug — when done thoughtfully, mixing patterns can add texture, personality and a dynamic look to a space. We hung an adorable vintage jaguar car art print above the bed which adds the perfect personalized touch for this young car enthusiast. We opted for a black curtain rod to match the door hardware throughout the home and added 4 linen drapery panels to draw attention to the scale of the window. Hope you enjoy the tour!
